Who your referrals should come from, territory by territory

Every completed sale passes through a chain of people: the agent, the conveyancer, the surveyor, the mortgage broker, the removal crew, the developer who needs the chain to hold. A Rennwick partner map names the organisations in your territory, shows you where each one sits in that chain, and marks the ones worth a conversation. One report, one territory, built from public registers.

Referral Networks

The named organisations a sale passes through in your territory, sorted into four buckets: complements, who serve the same customer without competing for the sale; peers, your competitors, and where they are busy; channels, businesses that already sell to hundreds of local owners, so one introduction reaches further than fifty cold calls; and suppliers. Each entry carries what it is, where it is, and a public route to it. The sorting is the useful part. Complements and channels are where the easy conversations are, because the trade is reciprocal and nobody has to be talked into it.

Market Share

How many agencies share your territory, and what that number means for how you sell. Camden has 1,859 active agencies. Barnet has 803. The median UK territory has 106. In a territory of about a hundred firms, a partner map can be a route to every organisation that matters. In a territory of 1,800, it tells you where the density is, where the sharpest competition sits, and which referral relationships are worth the effort of building.

High-Level Mapping

The whole ecosystem as one picture: the agency at the centre, the layers around it, every organisation on the map as a named node. It is the page that goes on the office wall and the one you bring to a partner meeting, because a prospective partner can see at a glance where they sit and what they gain by working with you.

Where the UK numbers come from

We pulled the UK register on 28 September 2026: every active company registered under SIC code 68310, real estate agencies, from the Companies House Advanced Search API. It returned 40,520 estate and letting agencies, 40,508 of them with a usable postcode. Mapping those postcodes to counties and unitary authorities gives 218 territories.

Worth saying plainly: UK estate agency is not a licensed activity. Unlike Ireland, there is no statutory register of who is allowed to trade. So the UK map is built from Companies House with the membership and redress bodies as the cross-check we are harvesting now: Propertymark, The Property Ombudsman, the Property Redress Scheme and RICS. Until that harvest is finished, the map says plainly that it is a different source with different limits from the Irish licence register — every UK map states that on its face rather than implying a register that does not exist.

Who it is for

Independent sales and letting agencies who want to know which local firms already share their customer. Multi-branch groups and franchisees deciding where to lean on referrals and where to compete on volume. Conveyancers, surveyors, mortgage brokers and removals firms who want the same picture from the other side of the sale. And suppliers or platforms selling into UK agencies, who need to know how the territory divides before they knock on doors.

Price and delivery

£420per territory, UK
€490per territory, Ireland, unchanged
5 working daysfrom confirmed territory

£420 per territory is the Irish price of €490 converted at the ECB rate of 0.86045 GBP per euro on 25 September 2026. The Irish price stays at €490, so both markets are quoted on the same basis and can be compared directly. Delivery is about five working days from the point you confirm the territory.

Where this comes from. Companies House Advanced Search API, SIC code 68310 (real estate agencies), company status active, pulled 28 September 2026; postcodes mapped to counties and unitary authorities with postcodes.io. UK cross-check bodies (member lists being harvested): Propertymark, The Property Ombudsman, Property Redress Scheme, RICS. Nothing on this page is estimated, modelled or bought.

What this page does not claim. These are registered companies, not branches: a firm with six offices counts once, and a company that is dormant but still active on the register still counts. Nothing here is a claim about any agency’s turnover, listings or share of sales. UK estate agency is unlicensed, so there is no equivalent of Ireland’s statutory list behind these numbers, which is why the member and redress bodies are named.

Ireland first. Rennwick maps property markets from public registers. The Irish build has been running longest and the worked example is free to read: the estate agency ecosystem of Sligo and Leitrim. The UK is the second market, added this week. The same build runs for other professional-services verticals on request.

Tell us the territory you want mapped: a London borough, a county, a city, or a run of postcodes. We will come back with the register count for it first, so you can see the size of the field before you commit to anything.
