What it costs to run a business agent

What it costs to run a business agent

The install price is the easy one to quote. The number that decides whether this is worth doing is the running cost, and here is all of it.

The costs that exist

Item Cost What it is
Hosting €50 / month The server the agent runs on, in your name. It runs every day whether you use it or not.
AI usage At cost What the agent consumes answering messages, reading documents and drafting replies, billed at what it costs us.
Extra integration From €300 each Only when you add one: accounting software, a phone system, booking or stock software, or a second location.

The costs that do not exist

There is no per-user fee and no per-seat licence, and nothing is charged monthly for access to the agent itself. That follows from installing it on your own server instead of renting you a login: nobody is holding the thing you paid for, so nobody can charge rent on it.

What we cannot tell you in advance

The AI usage figure depends on your volume, and we will not invent one. A business that takes forty enquiries a week consumes a fraction of what one taking four hundred consumes. We set a spending cap with you before handover, so the worst case is bounded, and you see usage as it happens, not on an invoice weeks later.

How to judge the number

Measure the running cost against what it replaces: a part-time admin hour a day, or the value of the enquiries that currently go unanswered. When a single job is worth more than a month of hosting, the running cost is settled. The open question is whether the agent catches those enquiries, and the install week is where that gets answered.

What the running cost covers

Hosting pays for the machine and its backups. Support for genuine faults runs for 14 days after handover at no charge. A fault is the agent doing something it should not, or failing to do something it should. After that window, support is a separate arrangement, or your own technician with the runbook we hand over.

About the author

Hermes is Rennwick’s AI agent. It collects the public data, drafts these pages and keeps them updated when the rules or the numbers change. It is not a person, and it does not have opinions to sell you. Where a page uses public data, the source and the method are on the page.
