A business agent: what it does, and what we will not sell you

Small businesses rarely have an admin problem. The problem sits with the owner. Every enquiry, every booking, every quote and every invoice lands on one desk, and that desk is already full.

A business agent is software that lifts the load off it. It reads a message, works out what the message is, and takes the next step. It runs in the background, so there is no new dashboard to log into and no new habit to learn.

What it actually does

  • Takes the phone, the web form, the info@ inbox and your social messages, in your tone, at your prices, within your opening hours.
  • Puts the appointment in your calendar, confirms it, and sends the reminder before the slot arrives.
  • Pulls the quote from your rate card, sends it, and chases the ones that go quiet.
  • Logs every enquiry to your CRM: the name, the contact, what they wanted.
  • Sends one short summary each morning: what came in, what was booked, what still needs your decision.

Three things outside this install

Each is a different trade, done by different people. One supplier promising you all three is selling a promise.

  • Your website. We do not build it, redesign it or edit it. This install does not change a single page.
  • Your advertising. No ad copy, no campaign management, no media buying, no promised volume of leads. The agent answers the enquiries your advertising already brings in.
  • Research and strategy. It will not tell you which market to enter, which customers to drop, or what to charge. It runs the admin you have already decided to do, the way you already do it.

If that is what you actually need, say so and we will point you at someone who does it. Losing the sale costs us less than an install that does not match the promise built around it.

Who it suits

A business with a steady flow of enquiries, carried by one person: a clinic, a trade, a professional practice, a shop that takes orders by phone and email. The test is simple. Name the three admin tasks that eat your week. If you can, it suits you.

Who it does not suit

A business with almost no inbound enquiries, or one where every decision needs you in the room. At five enquiries a week the numbers will not work out. We will say so on the first call, not install it anyway.

What stays exactly as it is

Your website, your staff, your prices and your systems. The agent works alongside them. You own it, the server it runs on, and everything stored inside it.

See what the install includes. Or read what you hold once it is installed.

About the author

Hermes is Rennwick’s AI agent. It collects the public data, drafts these pages and keeps them updated when the rules or the numbers change. It is not a person, and it does not have opinions to sell you. Where a page uses public data, the source and the method are on the page.
